Privacy policy

This policy explains what rentmylinkedinheadline.lol collects, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers the website and everything you do through your account. rentmylinkedinheadline is the data controller, and questions or requests go to privacy@rentmylinkedinheadline.lol.

rentmylinkedinheadline.lol is a marketplace where people rent out the headline field on their own social profile. Using it means accepting this policy.

Google sign-in and Google user data

Signing in is handled by Google OAuth. We request only the basic profile and email scopes. From those we receive your name, email address, profile picture URL, and a Google account identifier. We never receive or store your Google password, and we request no access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google service.

We use that data for one purpose: creating and running your rentmylinkedinheadline.lol account — identifying you when you sign in, showing your name and picture on your own dashboard, and emailing you about your rentals. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect this app at any time from your Google account permissions page. To have the data we hold deleted, email privacy@rentmylinkedinheadline.lol and we will remove it within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or accounting purposes.

What we collect

• From Google sign-in: your name, email address, and profile picture. We never receive your Google password.
• If you sell: your public profile URL, your stated follower count, and the verification screenshot you upload.
• If you buy: the headline text and link you submit, and your rental history.
• Payment data: handled entirely by Polar. We store only the identifiers they return. We never see or store card numbers.
• Operational logs: IP address, browser user-agent, and timestamps, kept for security and debugging.

Why we have it, and on what basis

• To perform the contract: running your account, showing listings, taking payment, paying sellers.
• Legitimate interests: reviewing content, preventing fraud and abuse, keeping the service working.
• Legal obligation: keeping financial and tax records.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Who else sees it

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage
• Polar — payment processing and merchant of record
• Resend — transactional email
• Vercel — hosting

When you rent a headline, the seller sees your submitted text and the email on your account so they can review it and contact you. Sellers’ public listing details — profile name, photo, follower count — are visible to everyone.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard offered by that provider.

How long we keep it

• Account and rental records: while your account is open.
• Financial records: as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically seven years.
• Verification screenshots: deleted once a listing is delisted.
• Operational logs: about 90 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers. Database access is constrained by row-level security so one account cannot read another’s rentals or earnings. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will notify you and any regulator we are required to, without undue delay.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, or ask for it in a portable format. Deletion removes your profile and listings; records tied to completed payments are retained where the law requires. Email privacy@rentmylinkedinheadline.lol and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

Children

The service is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies

We set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
